Hello, The repeater has probably already connected to the mesh (if you had WPS enabled) Try to access the repeater via the router's user interface Good luck

Hello, Your problem is difficult to analyse without further details. Can you connect to the repeater via its IP address? Does the repeater use the same wifi network name (SSID) as your box or does it keep its own name? If the latter, try to connect using its own name, which, unless I'm mistaken, is printed on the packaging. This link describes how to connect to a router from another manufacturer: https://ch.avm.de/fr/service/base-de-connaissance/dok/FRITZ-Repeater-1200-AX/3487_Connecter-un-FRITZ-Repeater-a-un-routeur-d-un-autre-fabricant/

Hello BraunerKater, This is exactly what this port is intended for. Not only can or should you use it as an access point via the LAN port, but if you have a computer without WLAN and the connection to the router is also very good via WLAN, you can handle it excellently. The only requirement is the distance from the repeater to the router, which should be about 50/50. This means that at a distance of 15 metres through two walls, the repeater should be positioned between the two walls! I am happy to help with any further questions!

Without knowing which Sunrise Box is actually being used, I would first check which WLAN channels are being used. On the 5GHz channels from 52 to 140, all devices must be capable of DFS and partly TPC. There may be interruptions if privileged services are transmitting, such as (weather) radar or the like.... If necessary, select channels 36 to 48 manually.

The Fritz!Box 7583 came onto the market in 2019 and can MESH ... the difference to the FRITZ!Repeater 1200 AX is that the old Fritz!Box 7583 cannot yet do "AX" and in this respect both "understand" each other excellently via MESH, only that the Fritz!Box 7583 is "backwards compatible" with the repeater. In this respect, I do not expect any problems ... The repeater can handle the "modern" protocols Wi-Fi 5 / 802.11ac, Wi-Fi 6 / 802.11ax and comparatively "only" protocols up to Wi-Fi 5 / 802.11ac The following document describes the differences between the protocols (... from 2009, when Wi-Fi 4 was introduced ....): https://praxistipps.chip.de/wifi-4-wifi-5-wifi-6-das-sind-die-unterschiede_114441

You have 2 options for connecting to the repeater. 1 . Possibility via Mesh Pairing Press 1x on the repeater and then press the WBS button on the router. 2. Possible is to connect via the interface of the repeater with the router, for this you need the ip address of the repeater is enclosed in the package. Otherwise inform yourself via the FRITZ!Box web.

Yes, the speed should not be so optimal, because this is a repeater and the bandwidth is cut when signals are sent back and forth, usually a lot of bandwidth is lost when such devices communicate with each other. In general, you should not use range repeaters or extenders, they are all unhelpful and outdated. My recommendation is a real mesh system consisting of several mesh routers. This solution here can handle WiFi 6 and up to 256 devices simultaneously with the 4+1 CPU per mesh router. Xiaomi Mesh System AX3000 (2-Pack) Such solutions with mesh technology do not limit the speed, which you inevitably get with old repeater technology.

The product description for the model with product no. ...73 is misleading in my opinion (max. port speed 3000 Mbits/s, single band...), and is also more expensive than the model with no. ...974. Personally, I ordered the product with no. ...974 and it works perfectly (in CH). It has a two-pin Euro plug with a Schuko adapter that can be removed.
