AVM FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber XGS-PON
AVM FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber XGS-PON
Which fibre optic cable do I need to operate this box with the Swisscom Fibre connection? Thank you.
Lightwin LWL-Kabel (CAT6, 2 m)
I had that too. The settings under Internet connection do not fit and you probably get a 100.82.* IP address. For me (init7 Hybrid7 via Swisscom BBCS) it worked with "other Internet provider", VLAN=10; then I got a 100.95.* IP address and https://swisscom.com/register automatically forwarded to the correct splash page at https://www.swisscom.ch/splashpage/guest/app/Accessid.
I had exactly the same problem, you have to select a "different Internet provider" and set DHCP to ID 10. Then the so-called "splash page" appears and you can activate the line. After the activation, probably configure PPPoE with login data & DHCP ID 11.
No, that's not possible - Fiber7-X is not XGS-PON. You can find the exact SFP specifications here: https://www.init7.net/de/support/routerinfos/
The AVM FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber XGS-PON is a router specifically designed for use with fibre optic internet connections. The AVM FRITZ!Box 5530, on the other hand, is a more universal router that can be used with a variety of internet connections, including fibre, DSL and cable. In summary, the main difference between these two routers is the type of internet connection they are designed for and the data transfer capabilities they offer. The AVM FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber XGS-PON is optimised for use with fibre connections and offers high-speed data transfer, while the AVM FRITZ!Box 5530 is more flexible and can be used with a wider range of internet connections. The XGS-PON module would be included.
