Purecrea MP1584 3A Switching Regulator DC-DC Step-Down Converter

The MP1584 is an adjustable voltage regulator that converts a higher input voltage into a lower adjustable output voltage. The advantage of this switching regulator is that it has a very high efficiency while being very compact in size.

Note: The input voltage must be 1.5 V higher than the output voltage! The chip features built-in over-temperature protection. When operated at high power without cooling, it can output 3 A at 5 V. Also, note that at a higher output voltage, the output current will be lower than 3 A.
