Proto-Pasta Stainless Steel PLA is a dense material that is as easy to print as standard PLA. However, the results are much heavier, leading to amazing outcomes. It is perfect for jewelry, costumes, props, figures, crafts, robots, and much more.
The filament is more abrasive than standard PLA, which can lead to accelerated nozzle wear.
Proto-Pasta Stainless Steel PLA is a blend of Nature 4043D PLA and finely ground, powdered stainless steel. It is somewhat brittle and should be handled with care to avoid breakage. Proto-Pasta Stainless Steel PLA prints at similar temperatures to standard PLA. There may be flow issues with nozzle diameters below 0.4 mm. The ideal printing temperature is 215 °C. Experiment a bit to find the right settings for your printer.
