This makes the HC-MDH3 ideal for weddings, corporate conferences, seminars, documentaries, nature films, sporting events, and other events where top performance and ease of use are expected. The 29.5mm (KB) wide-angle lens with 20x optical/40x intelligent zoom (F1.8) makes the HC-MDH3 an all-round camera for a wide range of requirements. The five-axis Hybrid O.I.S. image stabilization and Level Shot, as well as the highly sensitive 1/3.1-inch sensor, help to ensure successful shots. If shooting conditions change, experienced filmmakers can quickly and directly access the menus for zoom, focus, aperture, white balance, and exposure speed via a manual dial. The highly stable and ergonomic body ensures excellent handling, and the intelligent automatic (i.A.) function is at hand for spontaneous shooting when there is no time for the camera's extensive manual settings. The HC-MDH3 can be operated on the integrated 3-inch touch monitor. Full HD recording offers a maximum of 1,920 x 1,080/50p at 50 Mbps and also features a slow-motion function at 100 fps. With two SD card slots, in addition to simultaneous recording, the HC-MDH3 is also capable of recording long sequences without interruption thanks to the Relay Auto Switch function. This means that the most important moments can always be captured in full. In addition, the Relay Scene function with external hard drive enables continuous audio recording. Even when switching the recording destination, no audio interruption occurs with the Auto Switch continuous recording.
