The AF-S VR Micro Nikkor 105 mm/2.8G IF-ED makes the advantages of image stabilization (VR) available for macro photography for the first time.
It offers high resolution and excellent optical performance when used with both full-frame and digital cameras. The lens features the latest image stabilization technology (VR II), allowing for shake-free handheld shots with exposure times up to 4 stops longer.
The Silent Wave Motor (SWM), in conjunction with the Internal Focusing (IF), ensures fast and precise autofocus and allows for quick and convenient switching between automatic and manual focus. The imaging performance is enhanced by a lens made of ED glass (Extra-low Dispersion) for particularly low chromatic aberration and a nanocrystal coating that significantly reduces reflections. The result is absolutely brilliant, detailed images.

Bei diesem Objektiv könnte man die etwas maue Auflösung kritisieren, insgesamt hinterlässt die Festbrennweite jedoch einen prima Eindruck im Test. Vor allem kann das Nikon AF-S Nikkor 2,8 / 105 mm G ED VR Micro mit seiner starken Ausstattung und dem tollen Autofokus punkten, aber auch die Objektivgüte ist sehr gut.

Mit insgesamt sehr guten Leistungen sowie einer hohen Verarbeitungsqualität ist das Modell sicherlich als sehr gut zu werten. Wie so oft ist das Ergebnis bei der Anfangsblende zwar nicht optimal aber schon geringes Abblenden erzielt tolle Ergebnisse und Verzeichnung sowie Vignettierung spielen praktisch keine Rolle.

Das Gehäuse der Nikkor wurde sehr gut verarbeitet und abgedichtet. Die Bedienelemente sind zudem gut erreichbar. Bis auf wenige Schwächen liefert das Objektiv in puncto Aufnahmequalität einen recht guten Eindruck. Die Auflösung sowie die Verzeichnungen sind auf hohem Niveau
Das Tele von Nikon sortiert sich mit 850 Euro in mittleren Preissegment ein. Optisch kann es weitgehend überzeugen. Es schneidet zwar nicht besser ab als die anderen Makros, kann aber einen Bildstabilisator vorweisen.
