PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) is one of the most widely used plastics in the world. It can be found in everyday applications such as drinking bottles, food containers, and packaging. The plastic is often used for applications that require high transparency. The PETG-S available here is a glycol-modified PET. This means it is somewhat tougher than pure PET and can be printed significantly better and easier. PETG-S is an amorphous plastic that offers the perfect compromise between flexibility and mechanical strength. The material is not moisture-sensitive and provides excellent adhesion between layers. The filament from the French manufacturer is ideal for creating simple devices or holders. PETG is often used to manufacture components where simple PLA is not sufficient. PETG offers higher temperature resistance (80°C) and better mechanical strength. It is also frequently used in prototyping, both by home users and in industry.
