The JBL GT5-1204BR offers outstanding performance compared to the loaded enclosures of other manufacturers. This is primarily due to its revolutionary Slipstream port, which creates a large surface area outside the box, allowing the air to remain in a compressed state – our engineers have dubbed this design the Adverse Pressure Gradient. This gradual transition from high to low pressure prevents audible distortion, known as "whacking." Since the area of the port in the middle is significantly smaller than at the mouth of the port, it can be much shorter than a cylindrical port with a surface area the size of the port's mouth. Therefore, it also fits into enclosures of normal size.
