Icy Box IB-2240SSK, 4-bay backplane, SAS/SATA-3

We offer a backplane solution not only for large 3.5” hard drives but now also for smaller 2.5” drives. It can accommodate up to four drives with a maximum height of 15 mm. The backplane requires the space of a 5.25” bay. To prevent the HDDs or SSDs from overheating during operation, the aluminum housing provides stability and good heat dissipation, supported by two 40 mm fans. Data transfer is possible as the chipset supports both SAS and SATA III drives, offering correspondingly high transfer rates. Power is supplied via SATA Power. A power switch allows for regulation of the LED display. This backplane does not provide an acoustic alarm for hard drive overheating and/or failure. Suitable for 4x 2.5” SATA/SAS HDD/SSD.
