Product details
The Tesla P40 was a professional graphics card in the enthusiast class from NVIDIA. It was manufactured using a 16nm process and is based on the GP102 graphics processor. The card supports DirectX 12. The GP102 graphics processor is a large chip with a die size of 471 mm² and 11.8 billion transistors. It features 3840 shading units, 240 texture mapping units, and 96 ROPs. NVIDIA paired 24 GB of GDDR5X memory with the Tesla P40, connected via a 384-bit memory interface. The GPU operates at a frequency of 1303 MHz, which can be boosted up to 1531 MHz, while the memory runs at 1808 MHz (14.5 Gbps effective). As a dual-slot card, the NVIDIA Tesla P40 is powered by a 6-pin and an 8-pin power connector, with a maximum power consumption of 250 W. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not intended for connecting monitors. The Tesla P40 connects to the rest of the system via a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 interface.
