The XF27mmF2.8 R WR is also suitable for use in adverse weather conditions. Seven seals protect the interior of the lens from splashes and dust, ensuring its readiness for use in temperatures as low as minus 10 degrees Celsius.

The focal length of the XF27mmF2.8 R WR is nearly identical to the diameter of the image circle required for full coverage of the APS-C sensor (28.4 mm). This allows for an ultra-flat lens with high image quality. The XF27mmF2.8 R WR is among the smallest and lightest lenses in the XF series. It measures only 62 mm in diameter and is exceptionally compact at just 23 mm in length. Common imaging errors when capturing subjects at close range or in the distance are effectively corrected by the five elements of the front lens group. Thus, high image quality is ensured across the entire focus range.
