EQ-3 Motion detector inside

The Homematic IP motion detector is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and reliably detects movements as well as changes in ambient light levels. Designed for indoor use, the motion detector has a range of up to 12 meters and a detection angle of about 105°. This compact motion detector can be used as an alarm sensor within the Homematic IP system or for light control based on brightness by linking it with other Homematic IP products through the free app. The activation duration can be time-limited. To protect against tampering, a sabotage contact has been integrated, which sends a notification if the sensor is removed. It detects movements indoors and can turn on lights using Homematic IP actuators based on brightness and/or time. It can be utilized in conjunction with the Homematic IP app for security applications. A warning is issued via the Homematic IP app in case of removal or tampering, thanks to the integrated sabotage contact. The optimal detection range is up to 12 m with a detection angle of approximately 105°. Installation is flexible on walls, ceilings, in corners, or with the included stand. Operation requires connection to one of the following solutions: Homematic IP Access Point with a free smartphone app and free cloud service; CCU2/CCU3 central unit with a local user interface WebUI; or partner solutions from third-party providers.
