This version of the Ducky One 2 mini gaming keyboard uses Cherry MX Red switches. Keyboards with Cherry MX Red switches have a very light, hardly noticeable pressure point and are characterized by a very low actuating force. This makes it an excellent choice for fast multiple clicks in action games and first-person shooters, as a tactile pressure point is not absolutely necessary for fast attacks.
The casing of the Ducky One 2 mini gaming keyboard is two-tone: while the top is black, the frame and underside of the keyboard are white. The keycaps are made of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), manufactured in a double-shot process, and are significantly more durable than keys made with ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene).
The highlight of the Ducky One 2 mini gaming keyboard is the professional RGB LED lighting, which allows for practically endless design possibilities. It offers a total of twelve different lighting modes, each more unique than the last. A special feature of the Ducky keyboards is the completely software-free configuration of the RGB lighting. All settings and changes can be made using various key combinations.
The very popular mechanical Cherry MX switches are almost "indestructible" and, depending on the switch used, are optimally suited for different gamer types. Thanks to USB N-Key Rollover, any number of keys can be pressed simultaneously without ghosting or other delays. The 1,000 Hz report rate of the USB port helps by sending data from the keyboard to the PC every millisecond. The keyboard features a USB Type C plug for the detachable cable, which has a typical Type A plug at the other end. The two rubberized feet on the back are comfortable and can be adjusted in height in three stages.
