Product details

The DK Motor-Shield V2 is identical to the Adafruit Motor/Stepper/Servo-Shield V2 and comes fully pre-assembled, including stackable headers and terminal blocks.

The TB6612 MOSFET driver used provides up to 1.2 A per channel. Also on the board is a dedicated PWM chip. This chip controls all motors and speeds via I2C and requires only 2 pins.

Thanks to the 5 address-select pins for I2C, up to 32 of these shields can be stacked, allowing for the control of up to 64 stepper motors and 128 DC motors with just one Arduino!

The space saved by using SMD components is filled with a small prototyping area (19 x 5 pins).

Complete specifications:

* 2 connections for 5V hobby servos
* 4 H-bridges: The TB6612 chipset provides 1.2 A per bridge (3 A peak) for motors from 4.5 V to 13.5 V.
* Up to 4 bi-directional DC motors with 8-bit speed control
* Up to 2 stepper motors (unipolar or bipolar) single coil, double coil, interleaved, or micro-stepping.
* Motors are automatically disabled on power-up.
* Large screw terminals for 18-26 AWG
* Arduino reset button
* Power connection via 2-pin connector, switchable via jumper
* Compatible with Uno, Leonardo, ADK, Mega, Due
* Arduino library available.
