The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 is designed for professional photographers and demanding advertising, media, and artists who cannot compromise on print quality. The printer produces large prints up to A2 format with lifelike colors, fine gradations, and outstanding sharpness – on a variety of media, including canvas, fine art, and glossy papers.

Exhibition-quality photo prints: With 12 individually replaceable cartridges of long-lasting "Lucia Pro" pigment ink and a resolution of 2400 x 1200 dpi, you can create exhibition-quality color and black-and-white prints. The low-vibration housing, combined with the paper-smoothing "Air Feeding" system, allows for extremely accurate placement of the four picoliter fine ink droplets. Clogged or defective nozzles are automatically detected and compensated for, ensuring consistently high-quality results.

"Chroma Optimizer": One of the colors is the "Chroma Optimizer." This is applied over the other colors. It equalizes droplet height, improves gloss and reflection properties, smooths the print surface, and expands the color gamut. This results in deep blacks with uniform gloss and colored areas with finer color transitions. By standardizing the reflection properties across the entire print area, the bronzing effect is also prevented in black-and-white prints.
