The Spoton operates on AA batteries and uses standard SD cards (sold separately). Its compact size makes it easy to conceal and position securely. The trail camera is activated by any movement of living animals detected by a highly sensitive passive infrared motion sensor (PIR), capturing high-quality photos (18 MP resolution) or video clips (720p, 10 seconds). The Bushnell trail camera consumes very little power and is equipped with built-in infrared LEDs (IR) that function as a flash, allowing it to deliver clear photos or videos (in black and white) even in the dark. Additionally, it is possible to capture color photos or videos in sufficient daylight.
