Product details
The extruder is a key element, as it pushes the filament through the hotend to melt it. For the Witbox 2, the Spanish manufacturer bq has designed and developed a new extruder with a dual drive gear, which ensures optimal adhesion of the filament. Its two gears apply pressure to the filament, ensuring it glides perfectly to the end of the hotend. With the reduced risk of clogs, a wider variety of filaments can be used, such as PLA, bronze, wood, or copper, and even flexible materials like Filaflex. For a perfect end result, the extruder must always operate at a specific distance from the bed. In the Witbox 2, this new inductive sensor accurately measures that distance. This component consists of an electrical coil that generates a magnetic field. When the bed approaches the magnetic field, the sensor detects it at a certain distance and notifies the user by activating a small red LED, indicating that the position is correct. This mechanism allows for precise and rigorous leveling to achieve the best results. 100% BQ electronics. BQ CNC is the new electronics board developed specifically for the Witbox 2 by BQ's hardware team. This component enables smoother motor movement and provides better heat dissipation. All connections of the Witbox 2 are protected, and its digital potentiometers eliminate the need for manual adjustments. To simplify the user experience, the Witbox 2 features a new graphical, more intuitive LCD screen with higher resolution. The user interface and control electronics of the screen are also developed in-house.
