Product details
The W5800 features a ground-breaking laser array light source that delivers a stunning 4K image with an impressive brightness of 2,600 ANSI lumens for vivid colours and clarity.
Experience images exactly as film directors intended. The BenQ W5800 home cinema projector with CinematicColor Superwide offers 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 and Rec.709 colour space to deliver accurate colour and perfectly capture the director's vision.
BenQ's home cinema projectors offer advanced colour temperature tuning with leading 11 levels of white balance between high and low brightness. This allows users to set accurate colours in mid-tones.
The W5800 ensures that films are reproduced exactly as the director intended. It supports high-definition sources with precise aspect ratios and colours and does not use HDR post-processing. As a result, the original image purity is fully preserved.
The W5800's all-glass lens system consists of 14 lenses arranged in 7 groups and coated with low dispersion materials. This ensures outstanding transparency, drastically reduces colour differences and enables completely clear reproduction of 4K images.
BenQ's exclusive HDR-PRO technology enhances the 4K HDR experience with improved tone mapping and ensures a more balanced reproduction of details in bright and dark scenes.
BenQ Dynamic Black technology dynamically adjusts the light output of the projection by recognising images. This ensures optimum contrast and lifelike images. Laser projectors equipped with fast dimming react immediately to changes in brightness and offer 20% higher contrast compared to other SSI models.
The W5800's innovative HDR10+ technology adds dynamic metadata to HDR10 source files. This is used to optimise each frame of HDR video and enhance the detail in the bright and dark areas of HDR10+ content.

Especially in a brighter projection environment or with a contrast-optimised screen, the SDR and HDR display of the W5800 is very pleasing. However, if you want to enjoy HDR sources in a dark home cinema room, you may be disappointed by the DLP projector's brighter blacks. BenQ makes every effort to conceal the shortcomings of the built-in 0.47-inch DMD DLP technology, but the W5800 does not reach...
