Both the unique design and the impressive performance of Blue Cave are made possible by our advanced WLAN technology. Internal antennas are often a compromise: they allow a more elegant exterior design, but are susceptible to interference. With the Blue Cave, the four fully optimized antennas even surpass some external antennas by up to 28%. The position and orientation of the antennas in relation to each other as well as the arrangement in relation to the internal circuits were carefully determined by experiments. The aim was to deliver the best possible WLAN signal in all directions: The largest range was achieved with three vertical and one horizontal antenna. The horizontal antenna helps to transmit the WLAN signal over different floors. The ultra-slim printed circuit board and custom graphene coated heat sinks have been specially designed to make the most of the interior. The two ASUS developed heat sinks on the motherboard maximize the area available for cooling while making full use of the shape of the interior. These advanced heat sinks use a graphene coating with amazing heat dissipation properties far superior to conventional materials. In order to make the compact and unobtrusive look of the Blue Cave possible, a specially developed circuit board is used which is only half the size of an ordinary 4x4 router and has additionally been divided into two overlapping sections. Special electrotechnical procedures were used to avoid the signal losses that frequently occur in such an arrangement.

Wer "einfach nur Internet" braucht, das aber flott, der macht mit dem Blue Cave wenig falsch. Doch wenn Spezialitäten wie Multicast-IPTV oder IPv6-Subnetting wichtig sind, dann läuft Asus weiter AVM hinterher.
