Showing "V21" error after a couple of uses

We've used with success for a few days and after a year of not using it, now it starts showing error V21. There is no support or instructions on how to recover or what the problem is. Made one of the devices useless and thus the whole pair.

    Removing and re-inserting the battery solved the problem here.
    Batterie auf der Rückseite entfernen und wieder einsetzen hat das Problem für mich gelöst.
