In general, it's a good alternative for a fair price.
I bought this scanner to scan my illustration and comic book pages. First off, I spent 2 hours trying to install the driver on my Macbook; it was not working at all. Th drive available on the vendor website was not working properly. Then, I reality on the scanner's box, they mention another site different from the one we find on the documentation. When I found this website, I finally could install the drive and use it. The documentation is horrible. Second off, I was looking for a good cost-benefit and quality scanner for a comic book and illustration regarding the quality. This one provides enough quality to artwork, and after its installation, it's easier to use.
