The "LG 43BN70U-B" is fun! Connect the "Macbook Pro 2023" via USB C, charge with 60W and enjoy and use the work surface in 4K, as well as text and images; great! The menu is clear and easy to use. The remote control supplied is also useful and helpful. In addition to the key feature (picture in picture and split) and menu, it can be used to control the volume and brightness of the monitor. However, the meagre power output of 0.9A from the two USB A ports is disappointing. This is not even enough to supply the "FreeVoice Screenbar" with sufficient power for optimum working light on the desk and an additional charger has to be plugged into the socket. It is also disappointing that the input sources (Source) are not automatically recognised, switched and the monitor automatically switched on and off. The remote control makes up for this somewhat... The sound offers a positive surprise - for a monitor! Watching TV on the Apple TV 4K after work (or while using the 3-step scalable picture-in-picture mode)? With the 2x 10W and the "Rich Bass"(?), this is also possible in the study and without additional speakers. There are TV sets that deliver worse sound. Not absolutely necessary, but you won't find more detailed audio settings in the menu. I am satisfied and can warmly recommend this monitor for my needs (large work surface for text and simple image editing, as well as a second TV).
I bought it for 315chf. There's nothing to complain about for 315. The picture on my 32" UHD screen is slightly better, though. Nothing that bothers me though

I had the predecessor (LG 43UD79-B) for the last 5 years, same casing, size and connections but without HDR.
It was good and I was satisfied.
Now I wanted HDR and bought the successor, which made the change very easy.
HDR works and the picture has become much more colourful compared to the predecessor. That has nothing to do with HDR. But well - it's a matter of getting used to it, why not make it more colourful. This "more colourful" at least does no harm. Otherwise, the monitor is as expected, sharp image, usable reading angle, sufficiently bright and hopefully still consistent. No pixel errors detected. I would almost like to say: LG did everything right.

I'm a software engineer and I like working on a single big screen. I like it, this is just what I needed, and the price tag is also quite OK.

I bought the monitor for home office, in the office I have a similar Dell. Was looking for a cheap solution with at least 40 "for me at home was a Dell too expensive in the purchase.
I've been working with it for three weeks and am very satisfied.
