Synology DS224+ storage update
I have easily expanded the memory of my Synology DS224+ by 16 GB (now 18 GB instead of just 2 GB).
Contrary to the official specification, the Intel Celeron J4125 processor can address more than 8 GB and faster RAMs also run at a lower clock rate. A much cheaper variant than the official RAM bars

Runs smoothly in DS1621+
I was able to upgrade the RAM in my Synology DS1621+ from the default 4GB to 36GB (although the DS1621+ officially supports only 32GB RAM). Plugged into the second RAM slot - which is not used by default - and done. A virtual Windows Server 2016 is finally running smoothly on the NAS. Additionally, I have the option for later to replace the 4GB with another 32GB.
