Only solution for DualLink resolution
Contrary to some manufacturers' statements, the operation of an HP LP3065 (2560x1600 60Hz) with passive cables (DP/HDMI to DVI-D DualLink) was not possible (despite DP++). DP and HDMI simply have too few pins for a passive DualLink control.
With this active adapter it works without problems, even with 60Hz.
Thus, no new expensive screen must be purchased.
Alternative: Cheap graphics card with DVI-D connector, but occupies additional PCIe lanes and creates additional input lag.Pro
