My Chipolo One Point Bluetooth tracker test revealed that it definitely has its advantages over competing products such as the Apple AirTag. More specifically, its integration into Google’s Find My Device network is a big plus for anyone who doesn’t have an Apple or Samsung phone. This is because Google’s network significantly increases the One Point’s range and localisation accuracy.
That being said, there’s still room for improvement, particularly when it comes to the ping frequency and accuracy when tracking over longer distances. The Find My Device network evidently isn’t activated by default on all Android phones. Unlike Apple and Samsung, Google only uses the tag’s «approximate location» as standard when Find My Device is activated. While that’s good for user privacy, it’s not as good for finding lost items.

I bought the Chipolo Card Spot just under half a year ago and have since had it replaced twice free of charge by digitec/galaxus. After a good 1-2 months, the card was no longer trackable. It still beeped, but could neither be paired nor found. Now the third card has already failed with the same problem. The thing is now going in the rubbish (or electronic recycling). What a shame - I haven't come across such a bad product in a long time...

The product does what it's supposed to do, but it seems that the "Find my device" network is not large at the moment.
Also, when I bought it, I thought it could also do what the other Chipolo tracker could do i.e. make the phone ring on double tap. But it seems that given that the Chipolo One Point works with the Find my device app (as opposed to the Chipolo app) then this functionality does not exist anymore... And in my case, I more often than not misplace my phone rather than my keys...
This is already the second Chipolo I gave to my teenager, so that he can find his constantly "misplaced" key via smartphone. It works well as long as the key with Chipolo on it is in the house - i.e. within Bluetooth distance.
However, if the thing is tatgäglich at the key and takes all his transports, it does not survive very long...

always had to wait so long for the signal that I found my key without chipolo (could have saved me 30 Fr.)
