I am even less convinced by the printer as described in Richard62's comment. For me, this printer replaces the Canon MX870. Compared to this the new printer is:
- slow printout
- no automatic double-sided printing possible (thought that this should be standard today)
- operation on the printer very cumbersome
- printout of colours and black and white details worse than with the old printer
- No closed separate paper tray
- Paper output tray consists only of thin plastic tape
- Processing of housing not convincing
It seems that Canon has only installed older software and hardware components in this printer. Because I suspect that Canon has only built the latest technology into printers with the expensive small colour cartridges, and has only launched this model for marketing reasons, to cater for customers who are looking for sustainability. But you will be bitterly disappointed.
Suitable for private work and not for professional use although the ink is in bottles and you have a visual control too.

Poor quality printing, we see small lines on all the printed document, and this at the beginning of the use for the first times. Dull colors even when set to maximum

Unfortunately my old printer quit after only 2 years (Didn't print colors anymore) and a similar printer with single cartridges has not been available.
