Canon PIXMA G2501 Megatank
Ink tank, Colour
My last colour printer was a Canon MG5450, which I bought mainly for CD printing; an option I no longer need. It worked with 5 colours in single cartridges of max. 11ml (colour). The ink level was not visible here, it was only "estimated" electronically / mathematically.
The G2501 is much more transparent - literally, as the ink levels in the ink tanks are visible. The 70ml filling quantity will certainly last for several months.
The photos I have printed with it are in no way inferior to a multi-colour printer in my opinion. (And I am demanding!)
It prints quite quietly (there is a setting under Features - Maintenance called "Low Noise..."). However, it does take its time, but for me, quality comes before time.
The G2501 has
° Flatbed scanner for scan-transfer to PC or direct copying
Paper tray at the back (no paper drawer)
USB connection
It does NOT have
° automatic duplex printing
CD printing capability
° paper drawer
° display
° LAN or WLan
Installation is easy, the printer does it almost on its own. However, it takes about 10 minutes for the power-on LED to stop flashing and light up "Ready".
Ink bottles are included, a black one (135ml) is even included as a reserve.
Refill ink is also available here at digitec:

for the price of 15.50 (black) and 12.90 (colours m, c, y)
From the current perspective (after 1 week of use), I would buy the G2501 again. However, I hope that it is at least as durable as its predecessor, the MG5450, which lasted 11 years.

Advantage: Print cartridges receive a large volume of printer fluid.
The ink level is clearly visible. Refillable replacement ink is very reasonably priced.
Disadvantage: The black print housing looks bulky. If it were available in white, the design would suit me better.

The residual level in the refill bottles should be more visible, e.g. transparent bottles.
