Well, the plates and glasses don't have that much space and it slides around a lot.

For an Apple product, a fair price-performance ratio and ideally suited as a family tablet.
The iPad has good features, although the frame around the display is a little wide.

Absolutely pensioner-compatible
Absolutely grandmother-suitable pad. Mum, at 83, has no problems operating it and taking photos with it and showing them around....

Usual iPad quality. Not much has changed externally, but it is clearly faster.
Not an Apple fan
I am absolutely not an Apple fan, and would never buy an iPhone or anything else from Apple. But when it comes to tablets, they are (unfortunately) practically without competition.
I gave the iPad to my wife for her birthday, to replace her old iPad 2, which no longer got any updates. She was and is totally happy with the iPad.
I also got her the Logitech Slim Folio. Protection and keyboard in one.Pro
