Intel Core i7-8550U processor with 8GB Ram, 256GB SSD and that for 799.- a great deal in my eyes I had no problems with the labtop with me has not solved anything and that for three weeks now although I have it even
I even took it abroad and it had to pass through the airport several times, it has stood up again without any problems.
I can only say that the performance is top, which is exactly what I expected with the specs,
the labtop is very fast and starts up in about three seconds for me. CONCLUSION: For anyone who needs a device with a lot of power for relatively little money, this is exactly right.

I have been using the notebook for school for 5 weeks now. Office applications (Teams, Outlook, OneNote and Word together) run flawlessly and do not put any strain on the notebook. At the moment, I don't need any performance-hungry applications and have therefore never been able to test the notebook to its limits. Also, the memory of 256GB is not even half full yet and I hope that this will not affect the performance in the future. I don't find the design of the laptop very attractive and have covered the back of the screen with a matte black film. In general, the workmanship is not very high quality but for the price I didn't expect more. The speakers surprised me a lot compared to what I was used to before. The battery lasts the whole school day without any problems in power-saving mode. Despite its size, the laptop is relatively thin and not very heavy.
All in all, I like the laptop very much and can only recommend it.

Unit has given up the ghost after 2 months and can no longer be started.
EDIT:
Sent in, Acer only rebooted the BIOS, although this model is known to have poor keyboard-motherboard contact. Barely two days back and again it was impossible to boot the laptop. After a hard knock on the bottom it started again, which confirms the loose contact theory.
I have never had any problems with ACER; it was my last purchase from this company.

I bought this laptop two weeks ago after my Sony Vaio broke after many good years of use, I am very happy with the new machine so far and hope to use it for many years to come. I was very concerned about the other single one star review for the machine, however, after reviewing similar machines decided that this machine for 599 francs was perfect.
I decided that if anything went wrong I would not open up the machine and tape any cables to the motherboard, but return it to the shop under the guarantee. The one thing that was not as advertised was the screen, it is actually Matt, not Gloss, however, I wanted a Matt screen and only went with the Gloss for the other specifications the machine has, I was therefore pleasantly surprised. It arrived very quickly, undamaged and works!
The keyboard stopped working from the second day, Acer knows of this problem but has been ignoring it for ages. The problem is actually the cheap connection between the keyboard and MB, solved by taping the plug into the MB housing.
Also they do not provide the ribbon cable to install a second SSD, despite the present empty bay. They refere to this as "a missing cable", which you could get for free provided you live in the USA. 70CHF in Switzerland.
Avoid this lousy wannabe computer and check the keyboard problem on any Acer computer you would be planning to buy.
