Questions about Zyxel Nebula NWA1123-AC PRO

What is the LAN port for? I understand uplink/PoE, but why does it still have a LAN port? The Zyxel NWA1123-AC PRO does not have a power adapter port, so you could use a normal LAN cable + power adapter if the power injector went down. So I absolutely need the uplink/PoE. So what do I do with the LAN port? Would this be the case if I use the NWA1123 as a repeater and then attach e.g. switch + additional clients to the LAN port? So for example: Modem <-RJ45-> AP1 --- wifi --- NWA1123 <-RJ45->switch <-RJ45->clients? Thank you.

Hello Digitec & professionals, I've been using this machine for about 3 weeks and am absolutely dissatisfied with the client management via Nebula. My topology: DSL comes in via a router, which passes the signal on to the Zyxel via Gigabit LAN; the Zyxel receives the power via POE from the adapter supplied. The signal from the machine etc. is tiptop, and at the beginning (approx. 1 week) the client management also worked; since approx. 2 weeks the manual client management no longer works properly. What I understand by this: I want to lock my various devices of my children out of the WLAN if necessary. Nebula does allow this, but it has become extremely unreliable: It often shows no clients at all, even though some are active; or if I change the status of one or more clients from Allowed to Locked Out, nothing happens. I have tried everything: renewing the lease, restarting the router, updating the firmware, restarting the clients, etc.: Absolutely unsuccessful. The thing apparently decides on a whim when it obeys the commands from Nebula (whether app or directly on nebula.zyxel.com)... Now to the question: Does anyone have experience with this, and perhaps an idea what the reason could be?

Hello. I currently have WAC6103D-I (approx. 2 years old) and I (private person) would like to buy a second access point for another floor to strengthen the signal there. According to the technical data and the picture, NWA1123-AC is almost identical to WAC6103D-I. What is the difference? What is the difference? The price difference (167 CHF vs 313 CHF) is big enough for WAC6103D-I to have some killer feature. Unfortunately, I don't know what. Please clarify what the difference is so that I can make a decision. Thanks, Christoph
