I have experience with Spotify. You have to use phone to start the music. But then the device connects directly to Spotify server to play music. So you can do other things on your phone (or even switch it off). Essentially you are using the phone as a remote control. Hi, I connected my WXAD-10 to a small Yamaha at the RCA input for MiniDisc (IN MD), set the input on the receiver to MD and it works for me. I would try the middle audio input IN (play) on MD/CD-R at the back in the upper left area. Set the input of the receiver to this source and try again.

I don't see a problem, provided you use Wi-Fi. I have the box in my living room and I stream audio from my office next to it. There is a load-bearing wall in between. However, via WLAN. Bluetooth probably won't work over 20m.
