Jurassic World Evolution: "Are there dinosaurs in your dinosaur park?

In "Jurassic World Evolution", we were able to build and manage our own dinosaur park. And just because visitors to the film end up crushed between the monsters' sharp teeth doesn't mean that those in the video game have to suffer the same fate. Our video starts at around 1pm.
Wow, I've incubated a magnificent specimen! It's a ce-ra-to-machin owl-torus. You must see him coming out of his incubator. Wait, what's he doing there? Hey, you're going to leave the nice triceratops in peace, aren't you? Ah, that's it, this red thing is the symbol for carnivores. OK, we mustn't mix them up with the herbivores. Well, too late.
In "Jurassic World Evolution", you manage your own dinosaur park. Frontier Development, the developers of "RollerCoaster Tycoon", "Planet Coaster" and "Zoo Tycoon", are no novices at this. Like other management games, you have to try and build the ultimate park and attract as many people as possible. To do this, you set up a whole infrastructure including hotels, restaurants, research centres, park warden posts and, of course, the safest possible enclosures to house the dinosaurs. To create them, you need to set up an expedition to one of the excavation sites to bring back fossils and then unlock the dinosaurs. At first, only a small number of animals are available. Later, you can manipulate the genome and modify certain physical characteristics. But the chances of a reproduction attempt working are then slim.
Happy dinosaurs

Visitor satisfaction is at the heart of this game just as much as that of the dinosaurs. Indeed, when it comes to habitat, they have different requirements and can fall ill or even die. Even if you excel in the role of park manager, you're not immune to incidents. And when the t-rex goes roaming, all hell breaks loose. You'll have to dispatch your security team and put it back in its cage. You can delegate your tasks or lead the team yourself.
"Jurassic World Evolution" is based around three factions - Science, Entertainment and Security. These assign you tasks and reward you with bonuses and cash. But be warned: as your reputation grows in one faction, it takes a hit in the other two. What are the consequences? Acts of sabotage. On that note, Dennis Nedry sends his regards.
Conclusion

In this game, you are in control of six islands on which you can build parks under different conditions. The graphics are superb and dinosaur fans like me will be able to admire and photograph the critters up close. The original soundtrack brings back the atmosphere of the film. Compared to other management games, this one lacks the complexity of such a park. What's more, why are there no aerial and aquatic creatures available? That said, the dinosaurs are still very realistic. "Jurassic World Evolution" is not aimed at fervent adapters of the stimulation game, but rather at good-natured gamers with a soft spot for hard-skinned monsters.
Signed by Frontier Development, "Jurassic World Evolution" is a game available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Being the game and gadget geek that I am, working at digitec and Galaxus makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop – but it does take its toll on my wallet. I enjoy tinkering with my PC in Tim Taylor fashion and talking about games on my podcast http://www.onemorelevel.ch. To satisfy my need for speed, I get on my full suspension mountain bike and set out to find some nice trails. My thirst for culture is quenched by deep conversations over a couple of cold ones at the mostly frustrating games of FC Winterthur.
